Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: 2 August 2026
Short version: Offline progress is stored in your browser. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you allow Google sign-in, we use the minimum account and gameplay data needed for online modes, saves, and leaderboards.
Who we are
Bitmix Games (“we”, “us”) operates bitmix.games, Tetrapolis, and the browser games linked from the site. Bitmix Games is the controller of personal data described here. Contact us at [email protected].
Data we process
- Basic connection data: IP address, requested page, time, browser or device headers, and limited error or security diagnostics processed when your browser connects to our site.
- Google sign-in data, only after you allow it: a signed Google credential, stable Google account identifier, name, and profile picture. The credential can contain your email address, but our web account profile does not retain that email. You choose a separate public player name.
- Online account and game data: internal user and session identifiers, public player name, online game actions and state, scores, ranks, shared saves, configuration versions, and relevant timestamps.
- App installation data: a random install-event identifier, the game, whether the browser confirmed an installation or you opened manual installation instructions, and the receipt time. If you are signed in, or sign in later from the same browser, we associate that event with your account through the protected session cookie.
- Messages: the address, content, and technical details you provide if you email us for help or a privacy request.
- Browser-stored data: consent choice, display preferences, tutorials, active-run recovery, Offline saves and leaderboards, pending install-event identifiers, and pending online requests. Offline records stay in your browser unless you deliberately send them to us; pending requests may retry automatically as part of the service you requested.
Why we use it
We process data to deliver the site and games; understand game installation and adoption; create and secure an account; resume online runs; operate shared saves and fair leaderboards; prevent abuse, cheating, and technical failures; answer requests; and meet legal duties. Our legal bases, where applicable, are performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating, measuring, and securing the service, compliance with law, and your consent for loading Google Identity Services. You can withdraw that consent in Cookie settings at any time.
Google sign-in
Until you choose “Accept All”, we do not load Google Identity Services and online or ranked modes remain unavailable. If you choose it, your browser connects to Google and Google may use cookies, local storage, or its privacy-preserving Federated Credential Management interface. Google handles that data under its Privacy Policy. Choosing “Accept All” does not sign you in by itself; you still choose whether to continue with Google.
Sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for behavioural advertising. We disclose data only to Google when you request Google sign-in; infrastructure, hosting, database, network, and security providers working for us; professional advisers where necessary; or authorities when legally required. Providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Public information
Your chosen player name, score, rank, game result title, and shared-save creator name can be visible to other players. Do not use your real name or other personal information as your player name unless you want it to be public.
Retention
The sign-in session cookie lasts no more than 30 days. Your consent choice and device-only game data remain until you change the choice, use an in-game reset, or clear browser data. A locally remembered install event remains until it is linked to an account or you clear site data. Account, online game, anti-cheat, and leaderboard records are retained while needed to provide the service, preserve competition integrity, resolve disputes, or meet legal and security obligations. Installation events may be retained anonymously to measure adoption; deleting an account removes its link from those events. Support messages are retained only as long as needed for the request and related obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, subject to necessary backups and lawful retention.
Your choices and rights
You can use local modes without Google sign-in, change Google consent through Cookie settings, sign out from the account menu, clear local game data in your browser, and remove Bitmix Games access in your Google Account. Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive your data, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing and complain to your local data protection authority.
Email [email protected] to exercise a right. We may need to verify that the account is yours.
Children
Online account features are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 must not use Google sign-in or choose a public player name. Offline play does not require an account. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can review and remove it as required.
Security and automated results
We use access controls, encrypted transport, protected session cookies, and other reasonable safeguards. No online system is completely secure. Scores and ranks are calculated automatically from game rules, but we do not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes
We may update this policy when the games, providers, or law change. We will update the date above and give a prominent notice when a change materially affects your choices.
